I now understand the basics of rigging and it is terrible! But at least I understand why everything was breaking before, and I should be able to get a simple posable model done soon! (the modeling is the most fun part as of now)
In my past experences with trying to learn 3D modling, I found rigging, or I should say rigging correctly can be a right pain in the ass. Looks like your well on your way though with it. Hopefully you have better luck then I ever did. :)
