A fringe benefit of working illegitimately at Trouville Inn is the ability to set whatever hours; which is something Renata basks in daily. Considering Renata's ridiculously early morning routine of waking up an hour and a half before the sun does, she is able to head to work and enjoy a sunrise from the balcony of a vacant top floor rooms.
Her itinerary typically begins with a stop to the onsite café / bakery (which despite being on their property and in their hotel, is weirdly not owned or managed by Alexis' family) where she gets a coffee. However, on this particular day, Renata's weird friend from camp, Pepper, happened to be in town and they happened to be up around the same time and so for the sake of random whateverness Renata happened to extend an invitation to watch the sunrise together.
Consdering the barista's tendency to never remember Renata and then proceed butcher the spelling each time on the cup, the dastardly Pepper devised that they would buy the coffee incognito and assume aliases as Blepper Washington and Clawdia Ferretti. The weirdest part though is how fluttery this Blepper person seemed to make Clawdia feel.
Also, thank goodness Alexis wasn't there to force them to get naked and mush their bodies together... not that Renata is totally against that..
