this shield depicts pack life. as the close interconnections that bind the pack are more then just a motto but a way of life. Wolves are pack oriented. They are either part of a pack or desperately seeking to be a part of one. there are 4 wolves that are part of this flame. the color is blue representing their "time of power" (Dusk) and backlit with a beautiful welcoming flame The Wolf is one of those animals that mankind has a love/hate relationship with. On one hand, its alluring howl and communal pack lifestyle appeals to us. We see a beauty in it and often romantisize it in our own modern mythology. On the other hand, we see it as a ruthless killer and seek to dwindle its numbers to protect our own needs.
UROCYON GRAY FOX “DISCENDO DISCIMUS” “BY TEACHING, WE LEARN” fox is Vulpes Vulpes so why you ask is their clan symbol "UN"? the gray fox is officially classed as Urocyon and not a member of "true foxes". that being said everybody can associate orange with fox. the rest of the halloween-esk color scheme just kind of happened. the clan motto refers to the old sayings "crazy like a fox" the full moon in the UN refers to an old folk song
