I recently found out my previous pic of Linus ( https://inkbunny.net/s/2294106 ) got posted to e621. People there did not like it at all, and one commenter in particular seemed to have missed the point.
I thought the joke was pretty obvious, but here's the actual explanation: the character in that image was an amputee long before the pandemic. The shirt was intended to make light of the situation by implying that he lost his limbs because of the virus, even though that's not the case. It was a cheeky encouragement for people to wear a mask.
Guess I'm just confused as to why that particular image got so much negative attention, when my other amputee images on the site went under the radar. I'm not mad about it, though; I low-key kinda love it and the comments are legit funny to read. But really, if you need to be nasty, there's other more deserving images out there.
