This started out as a bunch of doodles as per a suggestion from @Audelicious , but by the time I was finishing up, I really took a liking to how they were looking~ Figured I'd finish them up and make something official out of it.
One is an attempt to revisit this girl here, and another is one of the multitude of customers I'll see all day tomorrow at work @_@ Just they won't be quite as polite. The other two I just pulled outta nowhere~
Once I gain more confidence in drawing torsos, I'd love to do the finishing touches on these~ As of right now, I'm just dumbfounded at how much I like them! I can definitely see influences from some of the artists I admire.

Thank you :3 Until I figure out the right questions to ask, observing and studying have been working pretty well for me ^^ But once I have ones to ask, I know exactly who I'll go to.
I tend to make a big discovery on each of the things I post. In this one it was messing around with brush settings in Sai - and I found a Pen setting that I absolutely love! I'm quite pleased with the progress I've made, too. Barely been 2 months, and I think I've made leaps and bounds~

I really like the way the line thicknesses turned out in this one. Also, the shading gave a nice definite shape to things and your sketches are looking significantly cleaner. :)

Thank you kindly ^^ I discovered some tool settings that feel just like using a mechanical pencil (my usual method of sketching), so it felt really natural to me~ I might try adding some arms and such to the puppy girl tonight... she seems to be calling to me...
