A little information: Onyx is what is known as a Royal Guard. Kieran is a Guardian.
Royal Guards protect the entire Royal family, and traditionally, there was only one. As the Delphin Empire grew, the Royal Guard took on managing security around the royal estate, then eventually the city.
Guardians existed prior to Royal Guards. They were charged with protecting a single delphin. It wasn't uncommon for the two to develop a romantic relationship. Not reccomended, but happened.

(Also: Multiple partners and non-het relationships are extremely common and accepted. I think of all my characters, I have one, MAYBE 2 that are straight. Basically: everyone queer af. Kinda like the writer. :V)

Bacically: I've aggravated a wrist injury from about 3 years ago, and I need time to let it chill. I'm spacing out updates to try and not be forced to go on hiatus before the Prologue is over.
