I guess this coutns for Hindsight in 2020! even though the original isn't that old. I like how I drew her slime form originally but I felt like everything just needed a polish, her design needed more deliberate perpose I think. That and I just wanted to put some mroe life into her.
This is just one of the many many maaaaany stories I have going in my head and will probably never write lol. It's set in a city I don't have an actual name for yet but just a nickname of "the city of locked doors". Sometimes it's literal, sometimes metaphorical. She works in a publication company out of a small office amidst a maze of access-pass restricted corridors and constantly feels like a hamster in a maze, being told where to go and what to do. The whole city is divided into tons of terrirories owned by either the govornment, corporations or gangs, and eithe way, restricted access is a common sight. Her trapped feelings last until one day she goes out to an island just off of the coast of the city and stumbles into some underground location which is dark but has architecture that doesn't seem of human design. There, at the back of the chamber, on a raised platform, she accidentally falls into like a pool as an activation of a device startles her, and then this slime plops down onto her and covers her. She feels her form growing weak like. she's coming apart, and she jsut painlessly melts. then... realises she's conscious a few moments later and then got up. Of course she freaks out for a while but figures out how to move in this new body and eventually makes it out by slipping through a locked iron gate. After this, she has to figure out how her new form works, her needs and stuff, and how to sue her powers. Suddenly most locked doors and metal fences don't mean much to her now. But what will she use these powers for? Will she try to become a hero?! Who knows!
I'm happy with how this came out! Also, the bubbles for freckles was a stroke of genius XD I'm so happy with that haha Also yes I drew her in a silly little melted blob form and it was s ocute I decided to keep it XD She can kinda change her form at will, though it's hard for her to change her humanoid appearance, she can shift her body around flexibly to avoid stuff or reach things and stuff. And when she's feeling lazy she can just blob into a puddle XD
Also, I imagine she can infuse with different things to like, change the properties of her body. Like say, she jumps into a barrel of corrosive acid, she melds with it and takes it with her when she comes back out so now she's all yellowy green coloured and bubbly, feels all tingly, maybe a little gross, but now instead of just passing through a chain link fence, now her body melts that fence on the way to allow access to others. Just as an example I also imagine certain dyes or food colouring and stuff it can change her colour for a while. Also there's a scene where her roommate finds out about her powers and they're hanging out later that evening and having kinda a 2-girl party and her friend throws a couple cartons of wine (do they sell wine in like cardboard cartons? XD) and it dissolves into her body and this cloud of red spreds over her and she turns purple and gets really drunk XD
