During the development of Klonoa: Door To Phantomile remake for the Nintendo Wii, Klonoa underwent some concepts regarding the current redesign. Namco BANDAI had the idea to make Klonoa look different for the NorthAmerican audience, and this concept was shown. Critics ended up killing the idea, and this design was scrapped. I can also understand why it wouldn't work... At least, under my style, it looks like a recycled Tails with weird and bigger ears, one tail, and no chestfur. It may have some potential, but I think that's rather subjective. For now, I'm leaving this for you to look at. I don't know if I'm going to make some yaoi of the original Klonoa and this concept, time will tell.
Well, I don't think it's an useless concept, I find it interesting as well. Of course, floppy ears are like the trademark, specially because they are essential for some moves. I think that this design should have ended up being another part of unlockable content, just like many stuff you can unlock in Door to Phantomile for Wii once you beat it.
