Looks like Richard decided to take a little Candy Tax after inspecting the Twins' trick-or-treat loot!

Fun side story: my granddad stole each and every single Wagon Wheel I earned as a kid when we stopped at their place for a pit stop. EVERY ONE! I didn't eat my first Wagon Wheel until I was at least 16!!! Lol. <3

If these are what I think they are, they are similar to moon pies with two major differences.  1)  They're about 1/2 to 2/3 the size of moon pies and 2) the marshmallow filling is about twice as thick.

I don't know what's more funnier to me: Richard taking advantage of his children's naiveness or the mother's cliche scolding of her husband's stupid antics. Regardless, it's a cute picture. I always enjoyed coming home after a night of trick or treating and surveying my bounty of goods. It was almost as fun as choosing a costume to go as.

It turned out great! the story about your granddad is funny. My dad took all 3 musketeers. He use to tell us Santa liked swiss cheese and beer too. He also said the reindeer like pistachio nuts. My brother asked why his fingers were red. He said he was feeding the reindeer.
I like their costumes.

LOL.  I've heard of parents, especially dads, doing this.  My sister and I were lucky.  My dad never was much of a candy eater.

I'm guessing the candy bar that Richard is carrying is called a "Snackers" bar.  Is it made with nougat, peanuts, caramel and covered with milk chocolate?

Hey, grandparents and parents need to "check the candy" to "make sure it's safe".

My mom would always tax the Almond Joys. Dad would go for the Good'n'Plentys which was fine by me, those things are nasty!
