Happy Halloween/Christmas/Dia de Los Muertos to you and yours~ Oh, and a merry Kwanza and a blessed Hanukkah, too. :3
But really, I know that Holiday season is quickly upon us, so a special shout out to everyone up and down North and South America. To everyone everywhere: blessings to you and yours~
If you're curious, this took four different ink pens and 26 different colored pencils to complete~
Just fyi, the older cheetah adopted the younger one after his mother, the older one's sister, passed away. The coyote moved in with them from America (the cheetahs are Canadian) and is now separated from his biological son, the boy you see in the picture in the top left. His son still comes to live with them during the summers, though, and they talk almost every day. They love each other, as do the cheetahs. They wanted to expand that love, so they adopted the wolf/husky boy and all live happily together in Canada.
They put up this tree in early to mid October, getting ready for Thanksgiving and then Halloween/The Days of the Dead with the Festival of Lights some days afterwards. They then culminate that all in a celebration on what is American Thanksgiving day, which combines all of those holidays into one final celebration of them for the season. In December, they celebrate a kind of Hanukkah/Kwanzaa to bring in the new year. They're very diverse (really, the cheetah just likes to celebrate world holidays and the coyote thinks it's so cute that he joins in, too (also, the kiddos love it)).
