I have procured a tablet!

For those who didn't know, My cintiq went kaput last week. So have managed to borrow a tablet from a friend til i get the funds to buy a new one. T_T

Based on finances/bills it would be 2-3 months to acquire a new one, so NEW PLAN

I'm gonna be taking my 2nd week of vacation in next week or two and make it a commission/art crazy week!

Goal is to get enough funds to buy another screen tablet. Cuz this little thing works... but wow is different lol.

So stay tuned for updates on an art week!

Hey, if this week of commissions as a 9-5 can work out, might even be an option for a full time gig.
(Right now my art time is usually only weekends, since day job is overtime intensive)

This is something a lot of people don't consider before bashing artists for using stuff like patreon to do early access. If an artist can't make art their only job they have to get another job that will eat up all their time. Artists need to pay the bills somehow.

You are one of my favorite artists right now and I freaking love your morning series. It would be really cool to see you able to do art full time. (Of course assuming you decide you want to do art as a full time gig)

I'm always hesitent of it mainly for "what if all my commissioners dry up? Lack of benefits/dental sucks." Etc. But always an option on table..

you could always do patreon or subscribestar... it would be a safety net more than your full income in case comissions dry up for a bit and if you didnt feel comefortable with something like pay wall exclusive pieces you can make a piece and publish one variant and have an edit or 2 of that pic for the patrons or 1 week early views on certain pieces

Remember you need to consider self-employment rates to be half of a normal wage. Nobody is paying you for sick/vacation time or medical benefits.

Is there a good way to donate without having "furry porn" effectively show up on my credit card? I've used cash to buy prepaid anonymous cards before, but that's expensive.

If you're goin for a bit cheaper but still nice quality then I'd recommend a Huion Kamvas Pro, the 12" size or greater. Not terribly expensive but still pretty decent quality! Hope for the best in getting a new screen tablet!

It's a series of hours devoting labor to another's cause. Usually with compensation in the form of monetary gain.

And will be announcing comms open very soon once I see what I can viably take on.
