On my island I picture these two as the old married couple who love each other very much, but they're total jerks that laugh at the misfortune of others. What a perfect pair XD
Keep in mind, I imagine all cranky/snooty villagers to be in their mid 40's-60's, so there's no extreme age gap between these two if that was making anyone uncomfortable ^^;
