Jet Kingson's log/G-2 progress

Post "Dark Oops" Incident
Day 1
During the tank change, Subject G-2 utilized an ability of unknown type to pull the remains of Subject G-1 into its blob like structure. Understandably this caused some concern among my mother's researchers. Forcing us to rush it into lock down.
G-1 was highly aggressive and wrapped in an adapting organic structure. In my hubris I didn't even consider the volatile cocktail me I had passed on to my sons. Without sentient inhibition, fear, or the techniques I've developed to calm our minds, disaster was inevitable.
Relying on pure instinct it adapted these gifts, becoming a super predator; knowing only the hunt.
Thankfully it wasn't intelligent. I was able to trap it with minor difficulty. It responded with, to quote my wife, "Some crazy Akira Tetsuo shit". Utilizing all the bio mass it consumed, it reconstructed itself into a organic bomb. After expanding into a gross configuration of flesh, it exploded. Much of the remain were then vaporized afterwards. Except for what I suspect was some form of brain tissue.

Given G-2 is the exact same down to the genetic level, I'm hesitant to call them and G-1 brothers. Sigrun likened it to a mortal's attempt at reincarnation. Sen called it a save state which led into an argument with some of the gaming enthusiasts in the lab.  Whatever it is, here's hoping they learned their past behavior was not acceptable.

Day 7
Tensions have settled. G-2's response to their new containment cell has been positive. Unlike G-1, I've set up an environment isolated from the outside world. Some have postulated that given its initial frail nature, it mistook everything as a threat and adapted according. Other are still upset that G-1 ate some of their limbs and wants me to kill G-2 before it can reach a stage to do it again.
I've kept a destroy option in case of a G-1 situation. But now I dread it. G-1 possessed little to no sentient thought outside of consumption. G-2's brain activity shows positive results to a recording of Rocky and Faron laughing.

Day 15
Gravity. G-2 can manipulate matter using their own gravitational field. Trying to figure out how I'm going to tell Rocky about that. As a fan of mass effect I worry about overloading him.

day 29
G-2 has an eye and little nubs. I've considered a set up to monitor his eyelid. Perhaps the first thing he see can be a photo of his family or something of that nature.

Day 32
G-2's quickened growth has resulted in them experiencing a high amount of pain. Gravity fluctuation detected in the lab have reached unsafe levels. A few of our researcher barely made it out. Due to my own mutation I'm able to survive, so I've stayed behind to administer medication to help with the pain.

Day 40
Sen has scrapped a passion project. She claims to have had it before the Matrix was even a thing. After some retrofitting we've a rigged it to tie into G-2 nervous system. The plans is to keep G-2 in a sedated state until he's passed this "growth spurt" and stabilized. With some help we've designed it so he can experience a normal childhood. Under the care of life-like simulations of his immediate family.

Day 1460
Some days ago G-2 stared into a mirror for the first time in the simulation. Given we had no idea of his final state, Sen left up how he pictured himself. He choose a feline form, male; Similar to Faron but with a fur pattern like Rocky's.
His body in real life seems to be utilizing its adaptive nature to slowly adopt this idea. My mother has better conscious control, allowing her to generate limbs like wings. However they are usually more boney. Perhaps this more through process is a result of my father's side of the mutation enhancing that.

Day 1825
I believe G-2 is catching on. He reached into empty air confused. In the real world Hawkin's stapler hovered. This is the first example of G-2 lifting a singular object.
I'm sure Hawkin's is going to love going over the reading of that. Glad at least someone else is excited about G-2 abilities as I am.

day 2737
It may have been a mistake moving G-2 here. My mother's Facilities are second to none. And more importantly people her know not to ask to many question. However, with her increasing productivity, less room is available to my projects. Leaving me with "Slate's" personal wing. Which means I have to deal with him more often then his attention seeking needs.
Worst of all is his roaring. It disturbs G-2's Sleep cycle. Apparently even soundproofing doesn't completely cancel out the esoteric nature of his roar. Dragon's pride won't let him admit but I suspect he's having night terrors. I've noticed some supernatural creature have a sense about the danger a being possess.
A scary thought, considering the kid can melt tanks by sneezing. The fact that he complains of feeling something in his room when nothing is there worries me as well. If it is what I think it is, G-2's range may be far greater then I thought.

Day 2918
G-2 is clearly aware of his situation and has gained some manner of control over the simulation. Sen didn't even know that was possible. She suspects someone infiltrated the systems. Says nothing short of a Sentient AI could've gotten through. I didn't need her level of technical expertise to notice that the Astro Simulation was wearing clothes we hadn't programmed into the world. I hesitantly began messaging G-2 through his computer. He wants out.
In a panic I told him I'd get to it in two days. Not much scares me anymore. When he stared directly at the screen with the "you better" look, I get shivers. Faron's blood runs strong in him.

Which worries me. What if he's just a smarter version of G-1? A refined predator? He could have been playing us all this entire time. A mistake is about to be made and I am unaware of what that could be.

Day 2919
I voiced concerns with my mother, my stepfather, my wife, and even my bastard of a dad. Half yes, half no. It wasn't until I walked past Slate's room that I got what felt right. Said he was looking forward to meeting his neighbor. I asked how'd he knew he'd be coming. He said
"You can't stop them."

Day 2920
I've pulled up a chair near the exit of Slate's Wing. Laid a few experimental weapons on one side. Some breakfast and clothes on the other. Ready for whichever scenario may come.
The day turned to night. The dark turned to red from warning lights flashing as the I triggered the release to G-2 containment. The door to my lab crumples outwards under years of repressed power. G-2 is free.

Doodle and quick lore idea I had to get out my head.
