My friend Joel joined me before one of my games and gave me a good-luck charm, his macaw pendant necklace!
So I returned the favor by giving him one of my feathers, but as soon as we made the exchange, both the feather and the pendant started glowing...
Joel's hands became talons with bright yellow scales and my hands became talons with black scales and burst through my gloves. Brown feathers ripped through his hoodie and scarlet feathers shredded my jersey! We both realized quickly that something was amiss!
Two large eagle wings erupted from Joel's back as he commented that we apparently swapped forms!
More brown feathers ripped through Joel's pants as talons tore apart his shoes!
Meanwhile, red feathers burst through my football shorts and talons destroyed my cleats!
I lamented the destruction of my football uniform yet again as a bright blue and red tail ripped through my shorts!
Two very pretty red, green, and blue wings erupted from my back and spread apart, displaying their awesomeness!
My face grew feathers and a macaw's beak as I realized this would be a huge problem!
Joel's face grew white feathers and a yellow beak, and looked remarkably like Pheagle!
As I stood in my ripped uniform as a green-winged macaw, I wondered aloud how my team would recognize me in an unfamiliar form...
But Joel offered to take my place in the game. If I can find him another uniform, maybe...but I sure hope he knows how to play!
