That's the thing about the game that really, really gets me. On the surface it's a silly detective game with a few features to make it play differently to GMOD Murder, TTT, and Town of Salem.
But when you think of the set up? Of what would be happen if you were on a ship in the middle of space and one of your crew was a shape shifting alien...? That's a classic horror setup in itself.
But then you have ejections... The sheer anxiety of not knowing if you condemned an innocent person to slowly suffocate alone in space, only to discover another body and find out you did send a freind to die slowly, lost in space... it's chilling.

I love that duality with the game It starts over once it's done, so it's easy not to think about it, but it IS very sad when you stop and do. The non-final death and general silliness aspects really are what makes it possible for me to enjoy, because I get emotional over fictional characters

I mean true but really it was the most efficient way to help my friend complete their tasks. Ghosts can fly through walls so it’s all cool.

I mean saying something like that is also a good way to get people to not kill you because they'll be like "yeah that's the opposite of sus but we don't want crewmates to die"

My friends and I were playing on my birthday at my house with some other randoms online. I got voted off TWICE because on guy kept going, "Vote for black, he's gay" and I'm like ???? We were HOWLING with laughter, though.

; u; I wish I got to play more but I work a sort of uncommon schedule so I don't really get to play much... that and I don't like playing with strangers bc I never know who's gonna throw out slurs or disconnect bc they didn't get the role they wanted :V (or get butthurt when sent into space. Like, come on, being a ghost is fun too!)

I agree wholeheartedly with you on all of those-most times our room goes inactive for too long or no one joins. The few games I've played with friends and randos most people have been really nice and fun, but I've seen some nasties too.
