Well I've had this idea kicking around my head for quite a little while before I finally got around to drawing it. This is essentially my take on the tenth plague of Egypt from the perspective of the Egyptian gods.

Anubis walked the many paths of Egypt. He'd been busy lately. Very busy. He largely ignored the comings and goings of a man purporting to worship a single god. He assumed it was just some Ra cultist. The man was asking for his people to be freed. Anubis only paid enough attention to hope the current Pharaoh would agree. No slaves would mean paying jobs and that would be better for the people as a whole. Besides the idea of mortals owning other mortals didn't sit well with him. But he ignored it. The various plagues. His attention remained more at his post. And all the others assumed someone else was looking into it. Then it happened. Anubis felt it. Everyone in the Pantheon felt it. Mass Death of mortals. Anubis was busy. So many mortals dead. So many of them children. Anubis took great care in escorting them to their afterlives. He was too absorbed by his work to acknowledge the exodus of so many from the land or the political fallout. But as he went too and from the plains of existence he heard the name of the Deity responsible. Yahweh. He'd remember it. For eventually the work would be finished and sorrow would give way to wrath and this lone deity would learn what the members of an Angered Pantheon could accomplish.

Well hope you guys liked the pic and the lil story. ^^

I certainly did enjoy the picture, Anubis is my favorite Egyptian deity, and the story is also great. I'm impressed to see your depiction of Anubis, other artists depict him as a scary deity.
