Some people get stupid when they panic, I guess. Not as many brain cells to start with, and panicking shut most of em down. lol. Me? I already had a single 36 roll pack before it even hit. By the time the stores were able to keep tp stock without it all dissapearing quickly, I was only halfway through it.

Me, too. I shop at Sam's for non-perishable items such as TP and paper towels. The only problem that I worried about was the fact that there are three people living in my home so I was a bit worried about running out but, thankfully, I didn't.

i think part of it was the mask shortage and this idiotic notion that toilet paper could make a good substitute for masks, i remember coming across a few things early this year mentioning that a lot of people were using TP masks because they couldn't get actual masks. I can't really think of any other reason toilet paper alone would suddenly escalate when there are tons of other *actual* necessities that weren't getting snapped up just as crazily...necessities you would normally expect to see vanish overnight.

I can guarantee about that. I take my lunch to work with me (I never missed a day because we were determined to be necessary.) and it consists of the Yakisoba instant noodles. Less than two weeks after the "pandemic" hit, you couldn't find instant noodles ANYWHERE but you could find the Compleats dishes. Before the pandemic, it was the other way around. Go figure.
