This lil guys is a reoccuring modern Neanderthal character of mine. Still developing things for the world he lives in.
Calen was a fairly average boy in most respects. Provided you had the right context. He was average strength, average height, average hair and eyes. Completely unremarkable. That is in the right Context. Though to a human he was on the short side. His hair wasn't really the average. He was a little bulky and had a discernible brow ridge. But that didn't matter too much. Not in this day and age. Calen woke up that morning with a morning ritual much like most of his pears. The only difference was his father changing his son's diaper. This was one way Calen was not average by anyone's terms. Of course it mattered little to him. It was normal for him. After he was changed he got dressed and ate breakfast. He walked to school with a human friend and said friend's older brother. He sat through his classes bored through half of them. He enjoyed recess when it rolled around. He wasn't the best runner but he had arms like cannons and a firm grip. Calen went through the normal routine at school stopping by the nurse station once in the morning, at lunch, and during the afternoon for a change. Discrete about it all of course. Only Calen's friend knew what lay hidden beneath his jeans. Eventually the school day would end and Calen would walk home with his friend just as they had walked to school. They'd part ways at home and he'd be greeted by his father. There'd be a hug, talk about how the school day went, a diaper change if needed. After that any homework would be done. Then the night was wide open. More often than not it'd end with Calen next to his dad on the couch watching something on TV. After that it would be time for bed. Another change, then PJs and into be he'd go. Another day another diaper. Just an average day in the life of a mostly average boy.
