Interestingly, the show was originally going to be connected to The Rescuers, Rescue Ranger HQ being a division of the Mouse Rescue Aid Society. But somewhere down the line, they decided to drop the connection.

They haven't brought Bernard and Miss Bianca back since 1990, the closest they came were cameo appearances in the show House of Mouse in the early 2000's. Honestly, I prefer it that way. Modern Disney could screw up a glass of Kool-Aid. X3

Interestingly, my character Neill is named after a character in 'The Rescuers' novel by Margery Sharp, Nils the Sailor Mouse. He was a favourite character of mine as a kid, so later on when I designed my own character I named him Neills, which later was shortened to Neill.
