This really should have been a quickie, but I'm in an ACO mood (so what'cha gonna do?).

Anyway, here's a little anime bunny with a can of Dr. Pepper ...because such is the type of thing furries draw.
...and, no, this bunny isn't Pepper (despite the fact the cartoon version of Pepper was inspired by anime).

I drew this bunny with my 3H Zephyr, and delineated it with this vintage advertising pencil.

This pencil ...is old. Ancient, in fact. Judging by the tag line, "Good for Life", this Dr. Pepper pencil dates to the 1940's.
Even so, this pencil also bears the line of, "At 10, 2 & 4", which Dr. Pepper used in the 1920's-1930's ...I have to date this pencil by the "Good for Life" as we move in only one direction through time.

According to quora, the "At 10, 2 & 4" refers to the times of the day one should indulge in a Dr. Pepper,

"Dr Pepper used to advertise that you should drink its beverage at 10 (a.m.), 2 (p.m.), and 4 (p.m.).

I used to live within sight of the old Dr Pepper headquarters in Dallas, and it had a clock tower with a clock that had only the numerals 10, 2, and 4 marked on it. I guess it was meant to show when it was time to drink a Dr Pepper.
That was a very cool, Art Deco building, but it was torn down some years ago.
My grandfather, who lived to be 85, drank Dr Pepper every day and claimed it was good for his health. My father also drinks Dr Pepper every day, and he’s now 91. My other grandfather, though, who was a pharmacist, wouldn’t touch Dr Pepper, and he claimed the flavorings in it were poisonous"

-Gary Cooper (quora)

My pencil seems to be made of cedar wood, as the wood under the paint has a reddish color (no scent, though).
The line it makes is very dark, and is effectively indelible. That said, the nib isn't particularly soft, so my guess is the agent bonding the graphite together has broken down over time.

Anyway... Dr. Pepper. I don't care much for it, but then I don't drink much cola in general (albeit, I have a penchant for carbonated water, esp. seltzer---I go through a 12-pack every few days or so).
Growing up, I had a down-filled vest with a 'Dr. Pepper' patch on it (it had belonged to a truck driver). I used to wear it all the time, sometimes even as a shirt. ^^

Anyway... anime bunny. ^^

Much as I prefer Coca-Cola, I too like Dr. Pepper.  My late dad told me it was "the friendly pepper-upper that never lets you down", but the earliest I remember about that drink is that "people like to drink it at 10, 2, and 4".

Actually, that "Wouldn't you like to be a pepper too?" jingle was featured in the movies The Cannonball Run and Short Circuit.  In the first movie, Victor Prinze (Dom DeLuise) sang that jingle as he was climbing into the ambulance with an armload of groceries.  In the second movie, the robot called Number 5 read the tagline on a billboard at an abandoned gas station.

I drink soda every day---several cans worth, in fact, but the soda I drink is just sparkling water with 'natural flavors' (like La Croix and Waterloo).
Colas like Coke, Pepsi, etc., are uncommon treats (and are best from the fountain as opposed to cans/bottles). ^^

I've heard of La Croix.  I've seen that brand sold in 10-packs at the local supermarket.  I've never heard of the brand Waterloo, though.

Waterloo is pricier, but they have odd flavors, such as blueberry.
