I love how she is very clearly threatening banishment/death here, but he still don't get it until his guard speaks.

Lord Coltshire just got told that if he did anything wrong even more in the presence of Twilight, Celestia would be informed directly

Guard: "Dude, this girl is crazy. She once had an argument with a Lord and turned him into a book, after he wasn't willing enough to let her lend a book in the library she claimed to have spotted first! And yes, the princess knows os this. This lunatic is her student and she will side with her on any issue. Un-fucking-touchable, man."

What I imagine the guard told him roughly. Could be wrong of course. ^^

Magical tracker. I think we may see him again. I am curious to what the guard told him.

Got so much money as tree-leaves, so treats said bills as leaves and uses a fork to move them around into a money heap.
'Forking out' also means to 'pay your share of money'...

its 'forking over' and its a term exclusivily used as a demand 'yo fork over the potatos dude' or 'you man fork over the cash' its never used as a term for ones self...so perhaps its the other way round perhaps he is always asking 'others' to fork over there money that said...the mark makes little sense in this universe as there corm of hard curency is in coin form not bills..

I just did a google and UB search before my OG comment: https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=fork%20out

Also, here in Hungary we do have the aforementioned "Have so much money you need a pitchfork to haul it into a nice heap". It could also be used as "rake money"... Example 1 Example 2

As for the bits...ponies use it, but we didn't saw any other race not using bills. Also, Paper money in our world was made pretty early, so it's not far-fetched, that equestrian rich folk wouldn't keep huge amounts in easier to stored form...since gemstones are a dime a dozen common, and pretty first and only a few are precious, mostly the magical ones. I did see like 90% of all episodes and 1% of the comics so ponies using paper money I cannot source...you are very much right there. But...You are smart, so you know what that cutiemark represent now, do you? Moneyzzzzzz... =:P
