This is supposed to be an 18th century ship captain portrait in the style of Joshua Reynolds. I did this one after a huge (for me) 6 week break in which I prepared for a national exam to get a teaching post - which I fortunately got. Was a bit difficult to get back into painting things the old way but pleasant nonetheless.
