In terms to Fandom Narrative?
This an AU (Alter universe)that strictly follows the series. Nott the books.
The Basic Breakdown?
In this AU, there is a twist. It’s seen just as it is. An original cult classic turned into an original Netflix series. Where a young woman ( a fan of the series), gets pulled into this work of fiction, during a strange thunderstorm, while re-watching it. And now she must survive in this world, as one of its new characters.
Marie, a normal human girl, get’s pulled into the world of TDC One night, while binge-watching the series (again) During a freaky fall thunderstorm, creating some supernatural portal.
Where she ends up being found by Mal, (Which makes her question things. As she realizes she has end up in the first act, and he doesn’t come till later. Now it has her wondering about the things behind the scenes, we never see.) who drags her drags before the Emperor, and the others.
Marie ends up tricking them she is a seer, to protect herself. When she pretty much knows the series like the back of her hand. And is carefully picking and choosing the events, to make it look like she’s all-seeing. When in reality they are just a Netflix series. she plans to play them all, for a bit. Till she finds a way to return back to our world.
She soon realizes, there is more to this world than expected. When she thought she knew the series well, she didn’t account for stuff behind scenes. (You know, like when the camera pans off, or a scene goes black, or switches.)
As she is also aware her presence here has already messed up the balance of things, and the ongoing plot.

So when Marie isn’t playing the role of Seer for the Emperor, she spends most of her with OK. Because if you work him right, Is the most sympathetic one, of them all. And could have an ounce of honor as well. But she had to really work him well! Plus she remember his Library, thinking. ‘Maybe one of his books can show me how to get out of here?’ So she convinced him to give her a crash course on their language.
But of course, she leaves out her true reason behind this. And instead tells him it just makes sense, since she is now their Emperor’s personal Seer and he’s the Historian+Scroll-keeper, they both have a similar duty to ‘ the written word’ in away, though not fully. While adding on to her statement. “..Plus, I do enjoy fast reading and reading new interesting material “ (that part wasn’t a lie, on her part)
She develops a hard to explain trust with him. Though still carefully protecting herself, not letting herself be fooled by his words. But Marie is slowly is letting him in without even realizing it. And she is being rather foolish, at times. But she knows she has to pretend to flatter him. As well, as to trick him, into thinking, that he has managed to trick her.
Even so, she still comes running to him, when needing an ally, or some form of protection, when feeling uneasy and scared, or having a strange feeling that she may be- being spied on by the others, especially the Chamberlin. And chooses remain hidden in his library, when she isn’t working her facade for the Emperor, or sleeping her own chambers.
And OK himself is doing the exact same thing, as she. He is using her too. For his own entertainment. He does find her as a fascinating study and her love of knowledge and books and learning. And being the only one of Species upon this land is also curious to him.
Ironically it seems they have tricked themselves, contradicting their own secret (original) plans, and thoughts. She pleases him even more. Since it’s not just him, by all his lonesome self, he now has Maire to join his long lonely nights.
Hoping maybe, she could possibly become his pet, one day. One that he wouldn’t abuse either. As he has learned by the others, if he wants to her stay he has to be nice and gentile.

- SOME OTHER HIGHLIGHTS -
Since I said, she knows stuff...
I can see Marie having a nightmare she is being drained by the crystal...
And wakes up breathing heavly, allowing herself to forget it. Just thinking she merely dreamt this as is feeling guilty, since she knows the truth of all this after all.
And is scared to alter, as the story needs to play out correctly she thinks. And is scared to make HUGE GLARING ALTERS. Thinking it could endanger her personally!
Yet she still feels guilty even so.
But Marie finally snaps, and she bravely tries to do something after all, once all the Gelfing are caught. As I see her tricking the Skekeis, drawing them away for a time. Then sneaks back to save Gelflings, trying to usher them away, but it seems Tek comes out from nowhere and grips her by the hair pulling her back to him. Where the main Gelfling cast returns, trying to help fight him off of her. when they are alerted by her screams of sudden shock. But it turns into utter chaos, as the scientist can't keep his balance while holding her and fighting them off, so naturally, so he stumbles, forcing her to stumble too, she stumbles in front of the crystal, lifting her head she is just staring at in pure amazement and fear, paralyzed by it's terrifying glory.
Tek manages to find his footing again. There he sees Marie is starting to move, trying to find her own footing. As since he does play things by ear(at times), he grabs those cables things and pounces on Marie, and clips them on her
Now aware of what is happening, she rolls and tries to fight him off, once again. Now getting to feet about to remove them. But without thinking, she had shoved him toward the control of the machine
So where she is millisecond away from removing them, he pushes the button, staring to milk out her essence, which also it's own new strange color too.
And as this scene plays out the Gelfing finally chooses to bail on her. (shitty lol, but what else can they do? Either her or them? Right?) while the Skeksis return, they are thinking Tek is busy doing this job, until suddenly seeing who is attached to those cables. (nor do they realize what Really went down.)
The emperor starts to tell the scientist to stop at once (not that he really cares but Marie is still a good playing piece to this war since he believes she is a Seer. She managed to play that role well.) But he just manages to out " Stop this-...." As OK pushing his emperor to the side, gripping Marie and ripping her from the cables from the machine. Then starts to tap her cheek, seeing she is a light site of unconsciousness.
OK gives the scientist a dirty look ( for fucking with his self proclaimed and hopefully future pet) and scientist starts to babble, trying to say how she is a trader, but he just comes off as more insane than normal.
(This was rather curious to OK, as he had his suspicions about Marie, for these past few days, and days leading up the Gelfing captor. Now they were confirmed)
The Emperor just tells him "Enough!" and to clean all this mess up. And the saving grace for her is the Emporer doesn't think Maire is capable of such things. Since she is of another lesser unknown species, (and the only one of her kind, that he knows of in these lands) SO believes she isn't that smart to plot against him.
SO turns his gaze to OK How dare he lay a hand on him, their ruling monarch. He took a long stride towards his direction. He wouldn't forget OK's actions, but he couldn't deal with him right now, all could do was demand this man to do with her. After all, he had claimed he was her ' keeper' to the others in the past“ ...Since you have some strange fascination with this creature, am putting her under your care.” As he ordered the others to clean up all this mess. While he goes off to think.
But this only gives OK some more personal time with this creature, that he as been personally calling(in his mind only), his pet. He doesn't beat around the bush. Once Marie comes to, and he finds she will be fine he turns off his bedside matter towards her. He tells her, he knows there something to her. Unaware she had been playing them all. But to what end, and why?
All the while bittersweetly storks her face, as he is indeed conflicted. He should turn her in, yet he can't. He desires her just far too much. So he gives a choice, which is really blackmailing. Surrender herself to him, and all shall be as it was, just they will know. If not he can't promise her safety, as surely if he knows another must as well. (like a certain sneaky, chamberlain) But by all means, she can refuse he will not stop her, he has already forgiven her, and if she by some miracle survives his Lord's punishment, she still shall have a place with him...though she'd be a prisoner. BUT! if she takes his offer, he could offer so much more.
"Either way I still win, in either scenario. I just thought to offer you a choice. Come willingly, and I will keep you safe. It will be as if nothing has changed, well except for your rise in position..natural heh...Now if you refuse, I will NOT be able to protect you from the Emperor and most likely you will end up, as one of SekeTek's lab creatures, but fret not, as I would still visit you regularly......." *cups her cheeks with one huge hand pulling her close* "....Would you rather be literally chained in a cold, dank, musty cage, or figuratively chained in a lavish cage, treated like royalty...as Sekeis bride. Don't think I simply want you for your exotic beauty...Your intelligently strange mind is just as arousing to my senses..."
But he tells her no rush, as she needs time to sleep now, as she had quite the ordeal.
