Hope is the name of that little green puppy. He is very sociable, he never waits for Woodman's permission before being pet by someone...

Here's the story about this lovely OC

Frienders' tail used to be a sort of fire extinguisher as frienders were originally made to protect natural environments. But when Wily took some frienders to his base, he removed that ability and added a device that made them spit fire. ( megaman.wikia.com/wiki/Friende… )

Anyway, one day Woodman learnt about frienders' first ability and wanted to get at least one friender that could have it. As some little frienders were being created in Wily's base as miniature versions of the original ones, Woodman took one of those little wolves-bots and made sure there wasn't any fire device in it. Then he tried his best to install a fire extinguisher system in its tail but it didn't work very well.

That little friender was getting bullied by his kind because he didn't spit fire and he couldn't defend himself because the fire extinguisher Wood put on his tail was dysfunctional. WoodMan took extra care of him when he saw him being that fragile. But when the other pups noticed that special treatment, they got jealous and bullied him even more. WoodMan could have scold them, but he didn't want to enter a vicious circle.

He thought he should just bring him back to Dr. Wily and claim it must have been a fail during the creation, so that he would spit fire like any other frienders. But then he noticed something remarkable : the weak puppy never gave up. Even after getting attacked by the others he was always getting up and smiling. On that moment, WoodMan said to himself "I think I found a name for him".

Then he took courage in both hands and explained the real situation to Dr. Wily.
... Aaaannnd it ended up pretty well. Wily placed a more effective extinguisher on the friender and even asked WoodMan if he wanted his pet to wear different colors... And of course WoodMan jumped on the opportunity.

About the colors... I like thinking that WoodMan's favorite colors are green and white. Green for hope (and nature obviously) and white for peace. Ironically i took the same green that Megaman gets on the game when he summons the Leaf Shield.
