It was mandatory at the airport I went too. The dumb lady who was boarding everyone saw the plugs on my mask that hold the filter in place and thought it was a vent. She then told me I had to find a different mask and refused to listen to me telling her its not a vent.

It's honestly really frustrating when people see something they don't understand because they have no experience in the subject, but feel like they're expected to make some kind of call on it, so they choose a stupid position and stubbornly stick to it instead of doing research or listening to others or anything like that.
I hope the plane flight at least went well for you, people that can't tell the difference between a vent and a filter probably don't know much about masks in the first place.

It went well, and too be fair I did remove the filter inside it (its solid black so you cant see past the mesh), cause I wasn't about to spend the next few hours struggling to breath several miles up.
Ill take my chances with whatever symptoms the media and doctors decides it has this week. Turning my lungs to glue is out, but apparently I will temporarily lose the ability to taste and smell. Does it cause spontaneous comas still? I haven't heard anymore of it sterilizing men by damaging testicles. I assume it still causes dry throat and coughing what with the masks.
