ref sheet for August Brooks, Nico's childhood best friend and boyfriend.
Nico and August met in middle school, having a few classes together in 7th grade and also being two outcast kids with almost no other friends. August and Nico started hanging out outside of school on Halloween, when Nico asked him to go trick-or-treating with him, which turned into a sleepover which turned into them realizing they were, like, BEST friends. After that, August sleeping over at Nico's house became a weekly thing, then several days a week...and so on. Both of them lived in single-parent households, August's home life with his father being an extremely toxic and unhealthy place. He was more than happy to let August go wherever he wanted if it meant he didn't have to deal with him, meanwhile Ganymede was more than excited to invite August in to essentially live with them. Over time he was essentially adopted by Ganymede and he and Nico had a lot of fun together.
Despite his rough style, he's somewhat timid. He's quiet, not the type to raise his hand, but still enjoys destructive fun as many kids do. He and Nico would go out to junkyards and break things, blow stuff up in Nico's back yard, and so on. He loves video games, music, and 90s internet. Definitely one of the kids that knew about stuff like 4chan before anyone else in his class did.
