Personality
Sunshine is more cheerful and friendly than most other Shadows, (as his nickname would imply) despite the trauma and loss he has faced in his past. Being together with his husband, Starlight has helped him heal and move on from the tragic loss of his beloved big sister, Maria. Although he's more upbeat and outgoing that most other Shadow's, he is still a Shadow and is a force to be reckoned with when angered and will not hesitate to protect his loved ones with his life and/or brute force if they are in danger
Likes/Dislikes
Sunshine has a terrible fear of heights, and sudden loud noises like firearms make him nervous. He's capable with firearms but doesn't like using them very much and will only use them when he has to, he's also very uncomfortable around needles. He has taken a liking to gardening and drawing as well as tending to the wild Chao Garden near his home every weekend
Background/History
Long before dating his now husband Starlight, Sunshine had been engaged to his zone's Infinite (Who used to be known as Zero) and had ended up pregnant with the jackal's child shortly before their relationship came to a devastating end after Infinite accepted Dr.Eggman's offer to use the Phantom Ruby's power. Sunshine never had a chance to tell him about their unborn child before his partner's betrayal and the beginning of the war as he had discovered his pregnancy after the war had already begun, so he had gone into hiding under G.U.N's protective custody and lived in one of their high security facilities. Unfortunately Sunshine soon came to realize that G.U.N wasn't keeping him there for his own protection, but to be held captive so they could steal his baby from him to groom into a super weapon until it reached adulthood. All of his attempts to escape over the months that he was kept there ended in failure due to his abilities and strength fading as his pregnancy progressed until he eventually gave birth to a son on his own under G.U.N's surveillance, Sunshine only caught a brief glimpse of his son before being sedated and his infant stolen from his arms. He woke up in The Resistance's HQ under Starlight's care a few days later, but his son was nowhere to be found. From that day he swore vengeance against the horrible people that had taken his baby boy away, and he swore to put an end to his former partner's reign of terror, hoping that he and his new family may one day be complete with the return of his firstborn son.

Sunshine has black fur with red markings on his limbs, quills, and around the corners of his blue eyes, as well as a tuft of white fur on his chest. He has freckles on his cheeks, ears, and across the bridge of his nose.
Clothing
He wears a blue jacket with a white star on the chest and white sleeves, blue cuffs on the ends of the sleeves, with a white collar. His Inhibitor Rings are around his wrists, his fingerless gloves are black with blue cuffs and fingerholes, his shoes are white at the front, black at the back, with blue on the bottom and part of the top, and blue and white cuffs with a yellow band around the ankle
Accessories
He wears a blue bracelet that his sister made for him when they were kids under the cuff of his right sleeve, and he wears a silver wedding ring
