Waves crash in rhythm as the sun beams warmth from above. The sand is scorching, so Samantha digs her large toes in deeper until she finds coolness underneath. The gritty sand is heaven on her giant paws, squishing and digging between her toes - it's mesmerizing and she can't stop. Only when sticky drips of icecream start running down her forearm does she open her eyes and remember the frozen treat she'd purchased earlier. With a sigh and a smile, she tosses the remaining cone in favor of a much sweeter treat: cool, squishy sand!
