Ashton and Jeffrey St Croix, already knew they were brothers, their parents divorced St Croix stayed with their dad as Ashton went with their mom. Both parents were still apart of the king's royal guards and saw each other but their mom was more free thinking as their father was harsher and stricter and followed his king's every word. One day out of nowhere their mother was killed as she was on patrol which granted their father full custody of Ashton as his aunt was more adventurous and left with her boytoy Charles at the time to go around the world. As the boys lived with their father he was stern with both but more with Jeffrey then Ashton, which gave Ashton more time to plan his run away then his brother. Jeffery was punished severely for letting his brother run away even though Ashton offered to get his brother out as well Jeffrey held Ashton at fault for leaving him behind with their father until he got his moment to run. They both haven't heard of their father even after the fall of the Acorn Royal family.
They have a very strained relationship due to not seeing eye to eye on who left who behind, their choices in friends, and of course Scourge.
