So she’s like god/dog from fallout new Vegas DM, if you don’t know what I’m talking about this clip will explain https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vbpiqg8qJQU but to summarise, dog/god is a schizophrenic super mutant who has two personalities, the player can use two audio clip to bring out either one, near the end of the dlc dog takes control and plans to destroy the casino depending how the player interacted with dog or god he will either be happy to see you or hate you, it using some skill checks you can make them fuse into one being, dog and god say that if you fuse them they won’t remember you but you can tell them it’s alright and they should do it, In the end they fuse and the new person (he doesn’t have a name) has no memory of the two but has a gut feeling of what happened. This description of what happens to sony heavily reminds me of that. (Ps I feel like fusing them is kinda sad like I felt when doing it to dog/god, you feel like you lose a friend so I understand how the characters friends must of felt)

At first, when I read your comment I thought: "No, not exactly...", but then I had some time to think and re-read it again, and you know what? Yeah, it is pretty similar. Except she remembers everything, but yeah... Your P.S. is important to me, it's the right feeling. It was sad for everyone involved. But it was needed for her to finally truly become her own person, something she wasn't even before the split. There's a snippet in one of my unfinished fics, where she's sadly joking that sometimes she feels like asking to split her back just so she won't feel so alone anymore. But they'll get through this I believe - both her and her friends.
If it makes you feel better, there's a thought of allowing the split to be voluntary at certain conditions. My friend drew me a fanart as a gift: https://fanart.info/art/art-view/79136, and in this she drew them surrounded by Chaos Emeralds. In my original idea Sony's only power is short distance teleportation, it's rather weak, and she isn't affected by the Emeralds. Even with all of them collected, she shouldn't react with them in any way. But looking at this art... I keep thinking. What if she can split at will for a short time when in contact with all seven. I just don't know... Will it ruin the whole purpose of the story or not...
