A young and unproven hunter should never have their guard down -- too bad boys are always too adventurous to respect that rule. Roel learned the hard way when he found himself in the middle of a giant spider's lair!
Luckily for the boy, the beast was young as well, and even less experienced than the fawn himself. Soon enough, the fear of death caused by his own mistake became the adrenaline-fuelled thrill of a first monster fell by Roel's own hand.
And later down the line, the respect of the tribe. And attention of the peers, of course ~
