I'm sure because they are not mortals (kinda sorta) they aren't really affected by Skylar's powers. Remember that he explained that he can change the nutritional value of food to make people grow. He did it with Marci when she ate alot and then next morning was skinny. So with them not being affected, it is just regular food in a small pot.

I believe Viro mentioned that the fruit girls (demi-gifs/goddesses?) aren't affected by consequences of food, pain, poisons, and other ailments unless they allow it. For examples, there was a comic where the girls visited a restaurant run by a large pig. He tried to Poison their food and the girls were unaffected, but still gained weight. They knew the food was poisoned, just didn't want to be poisoned, so it didn't happen. The food, however, they were totally fine gaining weight for their own interest.
