Character Sheet for Ukilii
Species
Aarakocra (anthro birdfolk) sparrow
Character Description
Habits:
Pacing, moving his head and body like a feral bird, daydreaming (songwriting), whistling (or the birdsong equivalent), preening, needless apologizing.
Though he’s lightweight and spindly as a twig, Ukilii seems to think strength is a strong suit of his. (His character sheet would say otherwise.) Ukilii continues to attempt strength checks that only a barbarian would have a good shot at.
And the idea of ownership baffles most aarakocra. In Ukilii, this means he shares everything, even things that are not his to share. He may take things without asking, but not with the intent to keep them.
Hobbies:
Singing, storytelling, and playing musical instruments, which he's made into more than just hobbies.
Collecting might count too, if he were able to keep his collection for any period of time.
Personality
He is distractible and new to local culture. He is willing to share anything, which comes off as kind, but is just a part of aarakocra culture. He will even share things that do not belong to him.
He's inquisitive: Everything is new to him, but he has a thirst to learn. As a bird, Ukilii's head moves very quickly between one position to the next, investigating what he's looking at from different angles.
His freedom is his most precious possession. He'll never let anyone take it from him again.
He is distracted by intriguing objects, or writing new songs in his head. Mystified and forgetful concerning the concept of ownership. Anxious about closed spaces with low ceilings.
All eyes are on him: His appearance, accent, chirping, mannerisms, and figures of speech all mark him as foreign. Curious glances are directed his way wherever he goes. A nuisance, but he also gains the friendly interest of the curious.

Background/History
“Bards thrive on stories, whether those stories are true or not. A bard’s background and motivations are not as important as the stories he tells about them.”
If you asked Ukilii about himself, he would sit you down and play you a song, chirping and trilling and singing about his personal history. A story about his sorry tail getting captured by a dragon, and escaping through his own merits. A story about landing in a prison cell — a birdcage, in fact — and escaping that, too. It's too long to type here, unfortunately.
So, is there any truth to Ukilii's story? Of course there is some truth, it's very personal to him. But as any good bard does, he's embellished it to a dramatic degree.
Relatives/Family
He blames himself, his neglect (leaving home to prove his mettle), for his grandmother’s death.
He can almost never resist grandmotherly characters (make a will check).
He doesn't have any aarakocra to fall back on, because he’s a fugitive, a prison escapee.
World/Setting
Fantasy world, think dungeons and dragons.
Clothing
Ukilii can fly if he's not weighed down by heavy clothing or cargo. He must throw off his coat before he takes to the air, though — the sleeves interfere with his wings. Luckily, shedding it isn't too hard: it's loose clothing.
