Toroth and Tacki make their way to meet their new colonel...
Panel 16 (Tacki and Toroth walking to the HQ Building. A structure that is supposed to look both sturdy, but elegant with large windows, and a hedgerow in front of the structure.) Toroth: That warehouse was pretty empty Tac. WAY worse than Springlade ever was. Tacki: It's probably a freak occurrence. I'm sure it'll look good on us to bring the supply problem to the Colonel's attention.
Panel 17 (Toroth and Tacki entering the manor, passing guards. The guards are wearing the standard infantry uniform, but they are marked out as grenadiers. Their braid is red instead of pink and they have red epaulettes.) Toroth: ...Or it could be an everyday thing! That quartermaster looked downright ragged!
Panel 18 (Tacki and Toroth reporting to an ensign. The ensign is looking at Toroth. Everyone has their shakos removed and stored away or in their arms. The ensign is sitting at a desk by a terminal. He appears to be a spikey, white feathered duck. He is pointing back in the direction of the stairs. There is a gold fringed, red carpet Tacki and Toroth are following from the door.) Tacki: We’re the two new transfers. We have an appointment with Colonel Pompacious. Ensign: Ah yes. Up the stairs, make a left. The Colonel's study is the last door on the left. Toroth: Thank you Ensign.
Panel 19 (Tacki and Toroth walking up the stairs. The wallpaper is red with thin gold lines going from top to bottom.) Toroth: Nice place huh? Tacki: Being a Colonel has its privileges. Toroth: Ah, so that’s where all this ambition of yours comes from!
Panel 20 (A caretaker robot, a poodle model, greets the boys. She has black skinfur, with white poodle fur poofs on her wrists and ear tips. She has a giant ball of white poodle fluff on her head. Tacki and Toroth are peeking a little shyly from behind both sides of the door frame at the towering female android.) Pom Mom: Hello boys. Are you here to present yourself to the colonel? Tacki and Toroth: Yes Ma’am.
Panel 21 (Pom Mom bends down and checks the boys’ bottoms. Inside the waiting room, the carpet is off white with gold lined green wallpaper.) Pom Mom: Hmm... Good. Both of you are clean. It wouldn't do to meet your new commander in a messy state. We've heard less than flattering tales of you light infantrycubs AND your manners.
Panel 22 (Toroth is staring bashfully at Pom Mom. The android does not look pleased) Toroth: Fear not Ma'am. If I need a change I shall call upon you. Pom Mom: No you shan't. I only take care of the Colonel. The other lesser models take care of you common soldiers. Apologies dear.
Really like the poodle nannydroid, always something about pretty poodles I like. Being a colonels bot she's probably the top of the line deluxe model. Though if she's checking their diapers like that it makes me wonder if it's an immediate demotion if you try to talk to the colonel with a stinky diaper on.
