To try and give you a run down.
This is a world of very powerful magical individuals ruling over a greater majority of lesser powered races.
Renn is a almost a true immortal, he will never age.
There is a healing ability that is unequaled but there are limitations of his strength.
Renn has no political power and he does not want any. He defers to others and sometimes this leads to a bad end.

There are other forces at play which are unknown by most of the ruling class.
