The city of Philadelphia is asking people to refrain from swimming in dumpsters after a block party rented trash bin and turned it into a makeshift swimming pool over the weekend.
Online news site Billy Penn first reported that a group of people rented a dumpster, filled it with water from a fire hydrant, and created their own pool.
Justyn Myers, who is part of a group that organizes the block party every year, said they decided to turn the dumpster into a pool while brainstorming party ideas.
