A double flat color trade for my buddy

He wanted to draw his characters Gear (Left) and Flynn (right)
I was told that these two share a master and student like bond and that I should draw something to reflect that.
Did I capture that?
I'm not entirely sure that I did.
Other than that I think this came out pretty well.
