So, judging by the color of her weapon and those white lines, I'm guessing Alphys weapon is supposed to resemble electricity, the same way Undynes weapon resembles water/liquid? (Makes sense, given her normal scientist shtick.)
I feel like they are both a bit more "exaggerated" than their normal counterparts, as in, Alphys looks even more muscled, and Undyne looks even rounder. (Not saying that's a bad thing, just felt like pointing it out.)
And finally I feel the need to mention; Undynes round cheeks/face kinds makes her resemble a puffer-fish. :P
