These hyper-advanced intelligent aliens are from a society that owns creatures of lesser intelligence as pets. This includes humans, and most furry species. (Yup.) This post is to announce a poll for who to introduce first!
Cala Noi - Old as hell, Cala Noi has survived for centuries by stealing the souls of more unfortunate creatures, and remains to be the last of his kind who has such a power. Every soul he imbibes adds a new slice of personality to his mannerisms, causing him to be incredibly unpredictable in conversation, which is part of why he has never been awarded a seat upon the high council. He does own a business, a breeding farm of pets, who are then sold out to bidders for any purpose, or ritualistically consumed once a year. His favorite color is navox (not properly perceived by the human eye, it appears somewhat greenish yellow) and his unique ear formation allows him to hear the flow of magical energies.
Mardik ix Aetar - A fair-minded businessman, Mardik manages the family business under his father. The business he manages re-purposes technology used by the falmidians for pet species. Each item ends up being a custom order, but the business has many contracts with different mining companies and transport companies, altering the controls for "manual dexterity users" as opposed to falmidians, who are able to manipulate their own technology purely with mind-power. His family is known for "fair treatment" of pets, giving them the lives they earn. He, personally, has a soft spot for certain species... and cute girls in uniforms and glasses.
Nilana il Sokah - A dwarfed falmidian, also known as a short-tail, her height often makes her underestimated and allows her to be unseen. The Sokah family is, unfortunately, one of the lesser families. Without hardly a credit to her name, Nilana was able to lose herself in study, which allowed her to earn a free pass into one of the better universities. While the rest of her family is scraping by day to day, she is at least guaranteed a stay in the Skerata Sorority at Kadatan Psychics Academy. Roommates with another short-tail, she has developed a psychic gift that allows her to shut off the powers of others around her, which is often her way of making herself known now. Loves romance and murder mystery stories.
Zarilla il Daxxa - Born from Councilor Handikan zans Daxxa and her mother, Zariko zat Daxxa, she has always had the easy life. A proud member of the "Night Gronk Movement" to create a sovereign kingdom ruled by night gronk falmidians in the grand nebula, she does not treat pets well. To her, they are meat or servants, and nothing more. She sees herself as superior, and few have told her otherwise. Possessing powerful offensive psionic gifts, she practices them flaying a new pet each week, which she then cooks and eats. Well, she doesn't cook the pet, she has another pet cook it for her. Waited on hand and foot more often than not, she's never known a hard day of work in her life, but she still has her eyes set on the next council seat.
