Once upon a time, I had a rather good voice but, between having to deal with (i.e. shout) a woman who constantly found fault with everything I did (including breathing), I eventually lost my singing voice. Then, last November, one of my vocal cords became paralyzed and I can hardly speak because of it. I can still "sing" higher vocals but I don't want to strain what little bit of voice I have left.
