This song is from the late 1970s and was originally sung by Umberto Tozzi in Italian. It was made popular in the U.S. with English lyrics by Laura Branigan.
The Italian lyrics and the English lyrics have nothing to do with each other, and neither make a whole lot of sense.
So, I took the English lyrics and changed them slightly to give it more coherence.
