Artemis sets the table for a feast, as she always does. She and her children are partially immune to the effects of the apples, so it's never a big deal. However, they have guests today: Kari and Rika, the Hyuumons as they are called. One is a sweet kind girl who was lost in the forests searching for her partner. The other, Rika, is a bit taller and colder, but also lost deep within these forests. They are both welcome in this haven within a very dangerous forest, and they more than happily feast on the pastries and delights found at the table. They say their digivices will point their partners to them, so the children have spare beds made up in Artemis's room where they can sleep nearby the matriarch who keeps them safe. Their bellies nice and full and gurgly, they set off to bed, sleeping a wonderful sleep.
Day 4: Kari and Rika are both adjusting to their heavier frames perfectly, even if one is happier than the other. They are both swollen with young, and their devices tell them how many and what they are. Rika is a little disheartened by this fact, but Kari is more than OVERJOYED at this turn of events. Their old clothes don't really fit and were ripped up by the sudden pushing out overnight the first night, but now they are much more accepting of the lighter wear. Having nowhere else they can go and still no sign of their partners, they will continue to stay at my house, in my beds. So what if all they have of clothing is what the little ones stitch up for them? They brush it off and continue to eat delicate pastries and some game with a special apple stuffing.
Day 9: Karimon and Rikamon have started helping out within the gardens. One's delicate kitty paws let her feel the fruit and tell which ones are ripe or rotten, and the other's hardened fox nails gives her an edge in cutting off stems and going on small hunting expeditions with small diamond like arrows of her making. They are both such wonderful guests, such lovely ears, round forms, and beautiful tails. They eat and drink more now, mostly to give their broods the nourishment they so desire. They continue to hold faith that someone is coming here to get them.
Day 13: Nearly two weeks into their stay, and Katomon and Rinamon have made themselves very useful. Despite their overburdened frames, patchy fur, broader hips, and elegant longer snouts, they are such good helpers. Katomon has started to tend to the little ones all around and even surrounding digimon, reminding her a little bit of myself even. Rinamon, meanwhile, has taken up teaching some of the girls how to fight and harness their own powers to grow. I myself tried it... and gained strange lumps upon my chest. Rinamon tells me I am stronger and nothing in this forest is even a threat anymore, but... these lumps are strange... but they are pretty nice. Now having their own room together, the two have begun making themselves at home. I am so glad. I wonder if they will even want to leave if whoever is coming for them even finds us here?
Day 20: Katomom and Rinamom are so dependable now! All covered with fur on their bodies, they have discarded clothing altogether, wondering why they even wore such things when they are not as young as their sisters, or so they loudly say now and again. Katomom has started helping me around the house, and she's so kind about it all the time, helping out her dear Artemis so happily. Rinamom meanwhile has taken to guarding the grounds and keeping everything neat and orderly. She's even repelled a few intruders trying to break into the gardens. Probably here to steal some of our well-earned fruit. I am also very proud of them for helping me deliver my latest batch of kittens. You could see the wonder in their eyes as it happened, as I mewled so happily and said how wonderful it all was. It was like they knew exactly what would happen to them within the coming months. They looked so HAPPY and so eager to join Momma.
Day 25: Gatomom and Renamom, both almost fully digimon in their own right, have enjoyed staying here at the house today. Gatomom is tending to small scrapes and wounds on the children and knitting up cute little clothes for the newborns, and for her own who will soon be joining us. Those darling sapphire eyes of her light up with glee each time Momma tells her how good of a job she's been doing. Renamom too has been diligent in tending to the gardens and helping the children learn how to grow these apples, and has even been helping with expanding the farmland and getting some of the stronger children to clear the land so Momma has more land to work with! It brings tears to my eyes seeing just how much they have grown in such a short time! So spunky, so energetic, so full of love for all the children, their own still growing, and for all their sisters! They have done tremendously well in teaching everyone how it is done... tonight, I plan on bringing them back into my room, so they can teach me a little of what they did, and to show them just how much Momma loves them.
Day 30: Gato and Rena turned 5 today! I am so happy for them! The cute little darlings are so playful, waddling around with their own heavy burdens laden on their bodies, yet they take to it like they have been pregnant all their life! They are so cute with their lil dresses someone had made for them. My eldest daughter has been teaching them how to be proper mothers, just like their precious mommy is. They come to me each and every night and cuddle up to me, both so they can feel their sisters-to-be and so I can feel their little ones in them. Such darling little children... my darling little children... I am sure their aunties Gatomon and Renamon will be SO happy for them to grow up here in this big loving family, now that they understand just how important it is they stay safe here. Not that they are too far away, their homes where they have stayed for the past 4 months have just grown so much. I still wonder why they came here though... they said something called them here, but now they can't even remember why, besides to be with their sisters.
