Gotta give Square Credit, how do they manage to come up with all the synonyms they use for enemies!
Monsters, Mirages, Demons, Cie'th, and Fiends; I also do like how several games explain that they're born from malicious souls trapped in the living world; like in 7, 9, & 10. It explains why all these strange and terrible things can just roam around without feeling out of place.
