I have been trying so hard to make my character in 3d bust form. and my god jesus christ its so so hard. i have a new found respect for people that do this. jesus christ. waaaay more work goes in to this than i ever thought. X.X this isnt great its full of issues parts of it i would like to fix or know i could do better. but i am so very proud of what i managed to get so far. Please ignore the shittyness of it but also enjoy my 3d-ness? >.> I really wanna try to get better at this but i can not find any kind of tutorial or help for making furry heads in 3d xD so did the best i could. Im sure ill learn my own way and get better over time.

this was so hard to do for me X.X i had to figure most of it out xD but honestly. im beaming im so happy with it. I am so tired tho haha. was up till nearly 4am lastnight and got up at like 8am to try to finish more of it off before i had to get on with my commission work. I feel so productive haha. after this bust i would love to tackle a full body but i dont think i have the skill for that. just the thought of all that rigging and weight painting makes me feel slightly sick X.X

I would be suggestive in working by exporting existing models into Blender. Or Creo. Second Life has many good resources.

Blender is nice certianly better than other engineering 3D programs where the Old ones Make you first set up X and Y coordinate framing in the first diagram of your work. But on the other hand thats also very helpful for organization.

The best thing for programmers and 3D artists is to learn this phrase. "Stop trying to recreate the Wheel" A lot of shit has been done for you grab the models tweak and tamper with them. It takes a while to get use to it Honestly I gave up because I found a model that I liked and needed little to No alteration and just pretty much stuck with that

I would have liked a base to build from xD but i ended up doing it all from scratch. just sculpted it then went over it with shrinkwrap and dod the topology as best i could. Im not sure that hoenstly id want to use a pre existing base mesh tho it wouldnt totally feel like my work. Sure this is wonky but its all mine ^^ so im happy for atleast that. next time i hopefully will learn from the issues i struggled with this time around and do things a bit better ^^. once i have a nice mesh that i made then i will happily reuse it for other things for sure tho.

Save your Mesh Models. Like even the failed ones Always save a version of a model or section of body keep them only as sections. Use them for new projects. Granted I don't do this anymore and pussied out XD But I know some tricks here and there to make the work Easier

3D Modeling is very difficult but its also very rewarding and this looks really well done on the surface, good job!

Creating anthro faces in 3D is indeed a lot trickier than it looks. But once you get a handle on the forms it's much easier.

Also if you haven't already, check out Sketchfab. You can see the models other people have made and figure out how they did it.
