Amongst the characters from the Lion King, I honestly think Nuka got it the worst. He's not a charismatic villain like Scar, there's little sex appeal to him unlike his siblings and mother, and he's never given a chance at redemption. Dude just dies because he wanted a mother's love so badly. It sucks to think that the only time Zira showed him any affection, onscreen at least, was when he died. Funny enough, he even mentions it in a line that was cut from the movie.
A crying fucking shame. I imagine a certain someone agrees with me too. Maybe that someone goes and saves him right before he perishes when other lionesses leave him. Perhaps she, in her own way of love, wants to give him love Zira couldn't give him. In the beginning, he's hesitant. After all, the last maternal figure in his life wasn't all that motherly and caring. But despite her strange rules, he grows to trust her and accept her love.
I'd like to imagine that's how we end up with this pic here. Nuka deserved better.
