I feel the same way about my nation, the populist movements around the world have shown their true colors and will soon be relegated to the history books that will hopefully get read by future generations. Brazil is no joke in the world, it is an economy larger than that of Canada with a people that has held on to values most of the world has given up on. Having both vibrant local economies and a globalized economy puts Brazil on the forefront of the future of the world. When democracy does its job in the next few years we will see a rebirth of the most powerful and diverse nations in North America, South America, and around the world. Sure we have a few more dark days ahead of us but after it is over those that did no see it before will have seen the light.
