I recognize the two titles on the right. What is the book on the left? Seems to be a novel I should read.
Atlasfield

Renni? Oh is a book about a dog on the Great War. For some reason I put all my Felix Salten books together on that old photo.
Klandagi

Renni. Is the dog a German shepherd?
Atlasfield
5 years, 9 months ago
Yes it is.

There is a famous German Shepherd movie and TV star named Rin Tin Tin, but that dog was rescued in World War 1.

Awesome.  :o

I didn´t knew about this dog, I read a little about it, awww is sad but cute.

The book is a bit different, I don´t want spoiler but is a dog on the trench, on the battlefield. Is probably Felix Salten inspired on this dog.

There is the wiki:

Yep. I was reading that. I kind of wonder why they changed some names for the English language edition. (Georg to George I can understand, but Kaspar becoming Rolf is just odd.)

Lets say is "normal"... but not correct, I think they need respect the names. I will give you an example. When the first serie of Batman was traslated the names of the characters were changed too, example Bruce Wayne was changed to Bruno Díaz, and Dick Greyson for Ricardo Tapia.  xD

I think they do it for make more familiar names with the people? I don´t know but is something common and it happen in all countries. Another example (and I don´t know why) the book "Animal Farm" was traslated in spanish as "rebelión en la granja" (or "revolt on the farm", or "farms rebelion") but in france I think was only called "Napoleon".  :v

A remarkable little collection. Easy to see who is the Muse to Our Host. As someone who dabbles in older collectables, I appreciate the age of some of the pieces.
What is the significance of your own artwork in the third photo?
The final shot of hospitality brought a chuckle.
Atlasfield

Well I added my own art because years ago I printed many of my pictures... and looks cool.  xD

I´d like print more, but it will later when I have a lot of money and... all get open again.

I like cookies too.  :)

I live in Texas, and our state re-opened most businesses today.

We shall see what comes of it.

Really?  :o

But there in your country are having bunch of deaths and those things, is not dangerous?

Here in Mexico maybe a 30% or less is following the quarentine because people don´t believe on the goverment, people believe the virus is a lie.
TheAtomicDog
5 years, 9 months ago
People not believing the government and believing the virus is a lie is also happening here in America. Rather dramatically in some states.
It has been over a month since the lockdown happened. People are businesses are very impatient to get back to work. They are not concerned with the virus, since they either believe it to be a fraud or convinced it can only happen to Those Other People.

Something like this is happening here too. Today there were more people on street.

Sometimes I don´t even know what to believe, but then I remember the things happened on Wuhan...

Cute! You should try and get PlayGro Bambi and Thumper plushies, they're huge =D
Atlasfield
5 years, 9 months ago
Yeah they are huge... but not enough.  xD

But yes, at least Bambi is one of the biggest plushes I have in the house... maybe the bigger now thinking seriously, I need compare with others I have in my room.  :D
Crimpy
5 years, 9 months ago
True, bigger is always better! I know a plush person who has connections to Chinese factories; if you send him a plush, they'll have it disassembled and create a pattern with it; then they scale up the pattern and turn it into a giant plush! He's already done a giant Thumper using a PlayGro Thumper as a base.
Atlasfield

Wow that´s amazing!  :o

Imagine anthro bambis like I draw with... tiny details, on the markets, chinese markets.

That would be awesome! and for evade copyright problems just call him Bemby.  :V
Crimpy

Haha, well I know another plush maker who does anthro plushies - he's done some anthro reindeer in the past, and I think he could make some Bambi-styled anthro plushies very nicely!
Atlasfield

Nice.  :v

When all this pandemy ends and if we survive, I will need love a Bambi anthro for... well, play with him.  =P

Blackraven2
5 years, 9 months ago
I have no clue, that picture somehow flashed through my head when I saw the assortment of merchandise there ;)
Atlasfield
5 years, 9 months ago
Oh I see.

No thankfully i haven´t a fursuit of Bambi, in fact I don´t like fursuits.  xD
Blackraven2
5 years, 9 months ago
I think they are silly - except in stories and comics, when you have the magic kind that actually TFs you into whatever you suit up as :)
Atlasfield
5 years, 9 months ago
Probably on things like this can work, on something artistic, something prepared, but go on the street wearing that... and now I am in Mexico where everybody make memes and jokes from nowhere... no way! is ruin my image and person for all entire life... kinda. xD
