Character Sheet for Kelsey Marie Whitmore
Character Description
Kelsey's a computer nerd and a student at Dawnstone high school. She's sheltered heavily by her mother, despite the protests of her grandmother and great grandmother, not even allowed to wear anything above her ankles, so she elects to wear jeans 99% of the time. She passes time by tinkering with computers and browsing the web. She works in the IT department at her school during her breaks, since she knows the ins and outs of the Magitek computers that are used. Kelsey's always monitored by her mother, between GPS on her phone and her computer..or at least the latter would be true had she not spoofed it to send out false positives to her mom's tracking software. Her phone's still tracked though.
Kelsey is also a lesbian, though her mother doesn't approve, which is ironic considering her mom, Kelsey's grandma, is bi and currently married to a woman. Kelsey would also describe herself as a hopeless romantic, really wanting a girlfriend but afraid that she won't be able to have one due to her mother.
Personality
Kelsey's rather shy and quiet, and softspoken around her mother, but can be really loud and bubbly when she has precious minutes of freedom. She enjoys conversation and tends to geek out about the random new piece of computer hardware coming on the market. She tends to be bored easy, so she's usually fidgeting with a random game on her phone, or browsing the internet when she's out, and not having to watch where she's walking anyway.
Likes/Dislikes
Kelsey loves technology and going for walks, as well as the occasional game. She'd love to hike if her mom would let her. She also tends to like it more quiet when she's working, but otherwise doesn't mind loud noises. She loves her school and attending the annual Dawnstone Pride though.
Kelsey hates being interrupted when she's trying to work and hates her mother's overbearingness and helicoptering. She also hates getting stares from men.
Background/History
Kelsey was born and raised in Dawnstone, a large metropolis of magic and tech. Her father died in the military, leaving her mother distraught, and it caused Kelsey's mom to be a bit too protective of her precious child. She went to Dawnstone primary school, and middle school, where she excelled in science and math, though literature wasn't her strong point. She still wound up starting high school as one of a very handful of Freshmen in AP classes.

World/Setting
Kelsey lives in the metropolis of Dawnstone, which is a large bustling city in the Dawn crater near Puerto Huracan, which is in Northeastern Solara. Dawnstone is one of a few cities that utilizes "magitek" which is technology that is enhanced by Arcane energies. the problem is, being in a crater, Dawnstone has limited space, so they tend to build up. They're one of the first cities to use Magitek-based cars that can transition from road driving to short range flight (it drains the batteries very quickly, so is only used to transition from the road to one of the aerial parking garages.). The company responsible for Magitek, MTK industries, is headquartered in downtown Dawnstone with a massive factory in the industrial district that's visible from most of the buildings in the city.
Body
Kelsey is very small, standing at 4"7" tall and weighing in at ~75 pounds. She's significantly shorter than her mother, so it's not due to her genetics necessarily. She likes being short though. Kelsey has cream colored fur with a white belly, though you can't see it most of the time due to her mother's rules. She also has bright green eyes and wears braces. She has long copper colored hair, usually kept in a braid, and she also wears black, thick rimmed glasses.
Clothing
She's usually in jeans and a t-shirt, sometimes a hoodie or something similar over the shirt. she would enjoy wearing short skirts and shorts, but she's not allowed to. At night, kelsey wears a big t-shirt and pajama pants, though again she'd love to wear like a short nightgown or something.
Accessories
Kelsey usually has with her a purple band in her hair to hold it in the braid, a leather pride wristband on her right arm, and her purple smart watch on her left. She also never goes without her glasses, because she can't see without them.
