have you ever used wires in place of the metal and joints. i'm trying to make a 4foot ratchet figure and I'm having some technical problem with the hands, feet and head.

ps sorry about spelling, not to good with typing

No, actually not.
It seemed to me to be to fragile. But with the right wire it should be possible.

I recommend "bones" out of wood with drilled holes where you can put the wires inside. (Hot glue)

They should be solid and preferable out of copper. Use more wires at one joint if necessary.  

But thats only necessary if you want a figure with movable limbs.
