In the Pokemon Universe Charlotte always thought that Edward was weird claiming to be human in a darkrai's body she just goes with it, eventually she starts to grow closer seeing the good within him instead of some weird and cruel guy. She beginnings to fall in love with him and Edward himself is not interested. Since Edward is still human he is not 100 on board hooking up with, even though he is a Pokemon now.
